China's Provinces, Municipalities & Autonomous Regions
The province level is the first level of administrative division for China. It includes not only the various provinces, but also municipalities, autonomous regions, and the special administrative regions.
There are 23 Chinese provinces in China, including Taiwan. In addition, there are 4 municipalities and 5 autonomous region. Hong Kong and Macau are considered Special Administrative Region (SAR).
