Conficius Yi - Justice
What Confucius Says ...

"A gentleman puts justice above everything. A gentleman who is brave but not just becomes a crook, a vulgar man who is brave but not just becomes a bandit."
"君子义以为上,君子有勇而无义为乱,小人有勇而无义为盗。"
Chinese Yi 义 (4th tone) may be translated as justice.
Whatever a gentleman does must be based on justice. Courage, for example, can become wayward when it is based not on justice. "A gentleman puts justice above everything. A gentleman who is brave but not just becomes a crook, a vulgar man who is brave but not just becomes a bandit," Confucius says.
How do you ensure that whatever you do is based on Confucius yi?
It is the code of conduct from within you.
Confucius quote:
"Self-control rarely leads astray."
"以约失之者鲜矣。"
